Frank Cunningham narrates this mini documentary on the history of rowing in Seattle – a story which is virtually synonymous with the evolution of the Pocock Legacy. It was created in 2010 for the Lake Union Virtual Museum
George Pocock’s son Stan has been instrumental in promoting rowing in Port Townsend. Both with his involvement with RIRSC through the Olympic Gold winning shell, the Hoh, and through his close relationship with Steve Chapin and the Pocock Classic Singles Project. He was so impressed with Steve’s craftsmanship on the Hoh, he ended up donating “the whole shebang” of his entire wooden singles factory to Steve.
