What threatened to be a cancellation (or at least a soggy repeat of last year) turned into a lovely sunny day, complete with rainbows.
We got home – not without a scratch, though. One of our boats was hit by a sailboat 😥 Details below…*
The Rats were represented by 4 quads and 2 doubles.
Congratulations to all who participated – you all looked like champions from where I was sitting! And thank you to all who sent photos for our scrapbook.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARI !!!
Great job everyone!!! Sorry I couldn’t get more videos – I was there to record 495 boats and I find it difficult to walk and chew gum at the same time

*Deets on the Riverside hit and run from some of the crew The guy in the sailboat didn’t see us, hit us and kept going so he could go through the bridge opening. We shouted at him, to no avail and luckily we were right in front of Pocock Rowing Center. They brought two boats out and got us and our Riverside back to the dock. So thankful to the Pocock people as they gave us dry shirts and helped get the boat pumped, out of the water and de-rigged.
