Congratulations Marsha Wiener!

Updated: Dec 1, 2022

Every week Concept2 selects a Weekly Winner from those who have logged at least 10,000 meters or more on their Concept2 online logbook. (passing the 5 million meters milestone last Fall, Marsha’s well past that!) Winners get a t-shirt and a chance to tell their story.

We’re proud of you Marsha!

Marsha’s story

I took a Learn-to-Row class in 2007 and have been sculling with the Rat Island Rowing and Sculling Club here in Port Townsend, Washington for the past seven years. We are able to row on our bay from about April into November most years, weather permitting. During the winter and early spring months and on most days when I’m not rowing on the water, I put in time on my Concept2 erg, having earned my five million meter pin last fall. Indoor rowing is a great way to build endurance, stay in shape, and work on many aspects of rowing form. In the photo, I am in the #2 seat with fellow Rat Island rowers in our H-class quad (average age 70 and over) during the Head of the Lake race in Seattle last November.
